Muriel
has been a vivacious, loving and creative person ever since she was a
little girl. She loved to observe and find unusual rocks, collect banana
stickers and discover new shapes in every cloud. Her paintings were full of
life and color. These abilities have characterized her entire life, and have
grown through new knowledge and experiences.
She
attended Isthmus University in Panama and earned a Bachelors Degree in
Marketing and Advertising Business Management. In
1997 she continued studies in Video Production at The Art Institute of Phoenix
in Arizona, where she graduated with an Associates Degree,
while also receiving the Award for Best Portfolio. She worked with FranklinCovey Panama as the Corporate Brand & Image
Specialist for six years. She was responsible for the design of
high-quality creative marketing and educational projects involving advertising campaigns too.
Since
2005 she has worked as a freelance graphic designer for corporations, small
business firms, independent professionals, and Christian ministries.
She
seeks inspiration from God for her work and always finds ways to contribute with
her talents to benefit the projects of non-profit organizations. Muriel has
designed and remodeled the interior of a Christian School, turning it from a
red-light bar into an enriched learning environment.
When
not in Phoenix, she is traveling with her husband, Joshua, learning about other
cultures and taking pictures with her pinhole Holga camera.
